Position: IC Nurse (PACU)

Professional Experience: 1-3 years of experience
Graduate level: IC Nurse Diploma
Language skills: English

IC nurses (PACU) profile

What we’re looking for

The PACU is where patients recover from general and/or local anaesthesia, with nurses monitoring their vital signs and psychological and general wellbeing. This type of care is provided to patients for up to 24 hours, after which they are transferred to a suitable nursing unit or to medium/intensive care. As an IC nurse you will also monitor and care for pre-operative patients and assist the anaesthetist with medical interventions such as locoregional anaesthesia and cardioversions. Alongside your duties on the PACU you will occasionally be working in the Observation room. This area is primarily for the delivery of pre- and post-operative care as well, but it also holds patients from A&E who are waiting for further diagnosis or transferral. Your work will cover all these areas. There will be weekend shifts for emergency care services.

What we're offering

The terms of the position are in line with the collective labour agreement for hospitals. Salaries are in the 50-55 healthcare payscale, which translates into a maximum of €3,495 gross per month based on a 36-hour week, and depending on training and experience. We're offering a minimum of a 24 hour per week contract. This is an opportunity for you to work in a challenging environment with good employee benefits, flexible hours, individual career guidance and further training and development.
